Things to talk about

Christmas happened, as I'm sure it did for many other people. We got some sort of weird things this year; the usual unhealthy amount of chocolate, but also Papa Bear's brand of stocking stuffers (Happy Meal toys, a katana, computer toys that are sort of silly but ultimately just a novelty). My mum gave us two ounces of silver (... all right), and my aunt gave out gift cards. Everyone else got Subway. Robin Hood and I got Red Lobster. One of his cousins gave us cinema passes.

Two of these were tailored specifically for Thursday, it turns out. I wonder if you can guess which, after I mention that Thursday marked eight years of sharing a bed with a six-foot sinus (oh god, that man's snoring). It's no secret that we're unemployed and skint as all fuck, so there was a bit of conspiring to make sure we weren't stuck at home for our anniversary. Which was really cool of them, and probably the most thoughtful gift either of us have received in a while.

Last night we went out for dinner and then saw Skyfall before it disappeared from cinema. Wow. That's all I'll say there. Just, wow. I knew that it had one of the most dangerous stunt sequences in years, but I did not know that it OPENED with it. Where do you go from that? To awesome, that's where.


Tonight, I think I'm gonna make an effort to finish up my fic. Or at least work toward finishing it.
