I wasn't technically going to do it this year. Still technically won't, but I may keep a running total of my word count just for the hell of it.
The main reason I'm not really participating at all is the chat they use. In the past, they've always been on AIM, but internal drama has caused serious troll problems for them. I suggested a move to IRC, but they went instead with a web-based chat. One which I had to register for, which I am so not comfortable with. Furthermore, you can't choose your own password, so omg no. And then when I finally got in, after waffling about it for about 20 minutes, instant headache, with no way of customising the colours so it wasn't green on white with a horrid yellow bar at the top. 1992 called. It wants its Java applet back.
It's a shame, because I've always liked the Nano rooms. Ah well.
