Living in the desert for six years has made me forget what autumn is. Particularly, how autumn smells.
It smells of decay. I just stepped outside for some air, and all I could smell was the dead leaves blanketing the neighbourhood. It's not even that cold. If anything, it's one of PNW's famous no-weather days. Not warm. Not cold. Just cloudy, still, and a bit rank.
