State of the Fic, and Tumblr
Nov. 30th, 2014 12:55 pmIf you saw my Instagram post last night, you've probably figured out a little bit of what's going on regarding the way I've started handling my WIPs. I've slowed down on updates for the three main WIPs because I felt like things were being rushed with the previous, post everything as I finish reading over it way I'd been employing. I wanted to get everything out as quickly as possible for the readers who are anxiously awaiting the next part, but I feel like some things wound up suffering as a result. Particularly, in the way one fic would get all of my attention for weeks, or sometimes months on end. I'm not doing that anymore. Instead, I've set down a firm update schedule, which will be followed regardless of how many chapters I have written (I've got the next chapter of Midgard Legends down, all but the last two of Tarbell, and the next four of Trickster God).
Midgard Legends will be updated on alternate Fridays, while Tarbell gets updated on alternate Sundays (opposite to the weeks Midgard Legends gets updated). Trickster God is every Tuesday, because it has shorter chapters. I may bump it up to twice weekly though, if it starts looking like it's going to stay in WIP limbo for another year at one chapter per week.
I have a few things I want to say about each of them, under the cuts below. For spoilers and stuff.

As for Tumblr, I have not given up on the site completely. I just need a break from it, and from the endless stream of politics that are on my dash. Mostly, I'm just hiding out on DreamWidth, either on a few anon memes or refreshing my Flist and hoping something new pops up. I do still prefer DW over Tumblr any day, but I just wish it had more traffic.
