Going out for brunch today with Papa Bear's parents. I had to be up at oh-god o'clock, but I get free Chinese, so I'm not complaining. Robin Hood's not coming, because idk. Probably he's afraid of getting in trouble for leaving the house before he did the thing Papa Bear told him to do.
My magazine subscriptions finally seem to have sorted themselves out. I got Astronomy yesterday, and Discover the day before, so I should start seeing NatGeo and Time pretty soon as well, since I think they're all owned by the same company. The Astronomy one is going to be especially helpful, since there's an article in it that changes some of the research I've done for my fic series. I'm probably committing some huge sin by putting real science in Marvel fic, but oh well. I'd probably hate myself if I wrote deliberate not-science. Possibly, when we get home from brunch, I'm going to go through my big box of magazines and pull out all the issues I'd saved for future reference, and stick them in with my research as well. I may have found a way to tie the super soldier serum with Asgard, but I still need to do a bit more tinkering. At the heart of it though, Bruce was right about the connection to gamma radiation, but his numbers were wrong. That's what I'll be going for. The part of the story where this becomes important is still a few miles off, so I've plenty of time to work with it.
I have to get up even earlier tomorrow so we can take the boys in to the new vet. Hopefully, this one goes better than last time.
