I am so annoyed right now
Mar. 21st, 2013 02:43 amAgainst my better judgement, I signed up for two big bangs this year. The better judgement wasn't any second-guessing of myself. Two 15k fics is nothing. That's an average one-shot for me. I'm pretty much done with the first, and nearly done with the second.
Both big bangs appear to be dead in the water. Both of them. I used to love doing exchanges and challenges, but fandom has shifted in a way that makes it really difficult to connect with people. My options seem to be Tumblr (how do you make friends on Tumblr? Seriously, I don't get it. I don't even know how to talk to the friends I do have over there), and anon memes. Anon memes work for the discussion I'm not having on Tumblr, but I really miss the namespace aspect of fandom.
Or maybe it's for the best. My last two namespace fandoms have wound up being fucknut insane.
